What is a Hushymaily temporary inbox?

A temporary inbox is a short-lived email address for tasks that do not need your permanent contact details. Receive a confirmation, test an email flow, or try a newsletter without adding more mail to your everyday inbox.

Why use a temporary email address?

Some online interactions only need a single email. Hushymaily gives you a separate address for that moment, so your personal address can stay private. There is no account to create, and knowing the address alone does not grant access to its messages.

Simple to use. Private by design.

Copy your address and use it where disposable email is accepted. Incoming messages appear in your inbox. Verification codes are identified locally, and remote tracking images are blocked. Use a permanent address for banking, important accounts, and password recovery.

How to use Hushymaily

  1. Copy the generated email address.
  2. Use it for a legitimate signup or an email test.
  3. Read incoming messages here and copy any clearly identified verification code.
  4. Extend the inbox if needed, or delete it when you are finished.

Inboxes last 10 minutes and can be extended up to one hour. The server enforces expiration, and expired or deleted inboxes cannot be recovered.

Frequently asked questions

Read all FAQs
What is a disposable email address?

It is a short-lived inbox for a specific task, such as receiving a confirmation or testing an email flow. It keeps that correspondence separate from your personal email.

How long does my Hushymaily inbox last?

The default lifetime is 10 minutes. Extend it in 10-minute steps, up to one hour from creation. The server enforces expiration; an expired inbox cannot be recovered.

Can I send email?

Hushymaily is receive-only. It does not send email, forward messages, or provide a public SMTP relay.

Who can read my messages?

The API requires the secret access token held by your browser session or the native app’s Keychain. An email address alone does not grant access. Anyone with that token can access its active inbox, so protect your device and session.

Are messages stored?

Yes. Message metadata and contents are stored privately while the inbox is active. Access stops at expiry. Scheduled cleanup removes expired data, and outages or backlogs can delay physical removal.

Why has an expected email not appeared?

Confirm the address and timer, then refresh. A sender may delay delivery or reject disposable addresses. Inactive recipients, oversized messages and unsupported attachments are rejected. Local .test addresses receive test fixtures only.

Can I use it for important accounts?

Use a permanent, secured email address for banking, medical services, purchases requiring ongoing support, passwords and account recovery. Temporary addresses are unsuitable when future access matters.

Are attachments supported?

Up to five PDF, plain-text, PNG or JPEG attachments of at most 256 KiB each are accepted within the 1 MiB message limit. They are not malware-scanned or automatically previewed. Download only from a sender you trust.

Are ads included?

Yes. Reusable ad placements are built into public guides and the iPhone app information page. AdSense requires approval and configuration; ads load only after the required consent. Private inbox and message pages do not load ad scripts.

Is the iPhone app available?

A native iPhone app is in development. It is not on the App Store yet. Until release, use the mobile website. The iPhone page explains its status, features and release requirements.

Does temporary email make me anonymous?

No anonymity guarantee is made. The service processes incoming mail and uses short-lived keyed rate limits. Infrastructure and security providers can process network metadata. See the privacy policy for storage and provider details.

How can I report a problem or misuse?

Use the contact and abuse-report form. Include relevant timestamps and the issue, but do not send access tokens, passwords, verification codes or sensitive message contents.
